The Tomte is a 2D point-and-click adventure game that was created by 11 students; 5 artists, 3 programmers and 3 level designers. It was developed in eight weeks halftime (4 weeks) using an agile SCRUM-based project management method. This game was nominated for Best Scenario at the Swedish Game Awards 2013.
We made all the backdrops and props in 3D and then rendered them in 2D. In most cases we also edited and painted them over in 2D. I mostly worked with the backdrop scenes and cutscenes.
